Thanks for saving my life yesterday.

Time went by, and the monthly bill popped up in Dad's email. He scrolled down to the total amount, fully expecting the price of our normal monthly bill plus two dollars. What he found was much different. The price was our normal monthly bill, plus twenty.eight.DOLLARS!
I, fortunately was not awake when he opened said bill. Quite possibly if I had been, I would not be blogging today.
Being completely unaware of how much 1MB (megabyte for all you non-techies, don't worry, you don't have to know that, I'm just a geek!) of data is, I used............. 14 megabytes. At two dollars per megabyte, I racked up twenty eight dollars in charges.
HOW COME NO ONE TELLS YOU HOW MUCH A MEGABYTE IS?!?
Anyways, to resolve this issue in the future, we added the data plan to my line. It's ten dollars a month for UNLIMITED DATA! Can someone please tell me how this makes sense?
After doing so, the very nice gentelman from ATT whose name I can't remember gave us a courtesy credit for my data use last billing cycle. Thank you, Sir! You very well may have saved my life. :)
(Don't worry, Dad wouldn't have actually killed me.)
